Re-dedication of the Todd Memorial Park on September 11, 2011 in Medford Lakes, New Jersey.

The Medford Lakes Fire Company was presented with an opportunity to receive a piece of Steel from the World Trade Center. A committee was formed which includes the Medford lakes Fire Company, Medford Lakes Emergency Squad, Medford Lakes Borough Administration and Departments, and Local Community Organizations, Local Business, Local Contractors and many Borough Residents. The committee has worked together for nearly two years to design, develop, and construct a Memorial to all of the people who were effected by the events of September 11th, 2001, including Citizens of our Borough.
We found Leon E. Todd Memorial Park to be the best place to display this remembrance. Memorial Park is located at the intersections of Stokes Road, Mohawk Trail and Minnetonka Trail. A complete renovation of Memorial Park has been completed to remember our fallen. The renovations include handicap access, new entrance stairs, new planters and walkways that represent the emblem of Medford Lakes, teaching gardens, landscaping, lighting, a new main entrance, the new Veteran's Memorial, and the September 11th Memorial. A Grant received from the Burlington County Board of Chosen Freeholders provided funding for the renovations. Funding for the construction of the Memorials was provided by the generosity of our Residents through both generous donations and the Brick Campaign.
